How to Conduct Your Assessment:

- A series of questions will be provided one by one.
- You'll be shown a range of possible answers.
- After carefully reviewing all possible answers for each question, select the answer that best describes the situation.
- Resist the temptation to read anything more into a question than what's being asked, and just answer each individual question as it comes, trusting that the subsequent questions will address every important factor.
- Anytime you need guidance on using the system, Click HELP.
- Anytime you want to know more about why a particular topic is relevant or meaningful to your assessment, select the feature called "Premise of the Question." You'll be provided with the rationale and underlying research associated with that question.
- For ease of navigation, a list of all questions will appear at the left of the screen during your assessment. If you want to go directly to any particular question, simply click on it.
- Each time you answer a question, you'll be offered the option of adding comments or information that will automatically be incorporated into your final report. Information or comments you enter are likely to enhance and improve the quality of the report. After you type in any comments or information, be certain to click "SAVE THIS TEXT & GO TO THE NEXT QUESTION."
- Sometimes, more than one answer to a question might apply; when this happens, choose the answer with the highest letter (A is higher than B, and so on).
- If you encounter a question you can't answer with certainty, don't guess - just skip that question. You can always go back and update the assessment if more information becomes available later.
- After considering all the questions and answering the ones you can, click on Finish Assessment. MOSAIC will immediately weigh the answers you selected and produce a full written report that includes a ranking of the situation on a scale from 1 to 10.
- Allow adequate time to make a thoughtful assessment.
